Happy ACL weekend 1! 🎸🎶 ⬇️ LMK: many times have you attended the festival? I’ll be there next weekend for my 5th time, but I’m already having serious #fomo from all of you Weekend 1-ers! • If you’re visiting Austin and need ideas for places to eat, click the link in my profile and go to “Austin Index.” 🍔🌮 I’ve got dozens of blog posts about the best happy hours, brunches, breweries, tacos, and bbq in Austin to hep you find some great #atxeats! 🙌🏼
This is probably the most popular mural in Austin Texas. It’s been vandalized several times, so the writing has been redone a few times and is much thicker than it was originally, but the colors and font are still the same. I’ve witnessed a few marriage proposals here!
Address: 1300 S Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: grab an ice cream cone from Amy’s Ice Cream across the street, then see if you can sprint across South Congress and grab a shot of the ice cream cone in front of the mural before it melts!

2. Willie For President
I love this bright red mural! Bonus: it’s located right next to one of the most popular pizza joints in ATX!
Address: 100 E Elizabeth St
Where to eat by this mural: Homeslice Pizza’s original location is just around the corner from this famous Willie Nelson mural. Snap your photo, then head to Homeslice to share a New York-style pizza with your friends!
3. Smile! Even If You Don’t Want To
I don’t quite agree with the sentiment… (All feelings are valid!) But I still think the font and colors are pretty cute.
Address: 1511 South Congress Ave (directly across from the Willie mural)
Where to eat by this mural: Hey, Cupcake! food truck is parked just behind this mural.

4. South Congress Austin
Full disclosure: I’ve heard of a couple friends of mine getting in trouble when they tried to take a picture outside this wall of the South Congress Hotel… I peronsally haven’t had any trouble, but just keep in mind that you might need to ask the hotel or permission.
Address: 1603 South Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: Head into the South Congress Hotel and enjoy one of their many excellent restaurants and eateries. I love going to Manana for coffee and pastries, or Café no Sé for a beautiful brunch.
5. Legendary Memories
Such a cute one! This mural is pretty new, but it’s made to look vintage. I think it’s a great addition to South Congress.
Address: 1800 S Congress
Where to eat by this mural: The flagship Torchy’s Tacos is right by this South Congress mural!
6. Love From Austin
This mural is TALL so it’s great for a big group photo! It’s tucked into a little alley between Bird’s Barbershop and Prima Donna, so it’s typically less crowded than the other murals on South Congress.
Adress: 1912 South Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: Magnolia Cafe! It’s open 24 hrs a day and has some of the best queso in Austin.
7. Anything Is Possible in ATX
Here’s a mural with a message I agree with 100%! Thank you, Kendra Scott, for this fun new bit of artwork.
Address: 1701 South Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: This mural is on the side of Kendra Scott’s new flagship store, and there’s a little cafe inside with champagne, macarons, and all sorts of other sweets and sips!

Ok, technically the mural is on the front of a Madewell store and says “Our Jeans Will Make You Look So Good,” but with some creative photography you can take that first part off..
Address: 1329 South Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: Perla’s seafood restaurant is catty-corner from this mural, and it’s an awesome spot to enjoy sipping coastal cocktails on the shaded outdoor patio for happy hour!
9. Tom’s Heart Wall
This is in the backyard of the Tom’s Store on South Congress, so it took me several years of living here before I even knew it existed! I think it’s one of the cutest walls for photos!
Address: 1401 South Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: This Tom’s store also has a coffee shop! You can grab a latte and a muffin and meet a friend in the backyard to take photos by this cute wall, or do some shopping inside the store for shoes + sunnies.

10. Austin’s Finest
Can we all just agree that you’re never too old for a jumping pic? 😉 This mural has a little wall in front of it, so it’s an easy spot to to the classic “JUMP” picture!
Address: 2701 South Congress Ave
Where to eat by this mural: Honestly? There nowhere to eat except a grocery store… It’s tucked between a motor shop and a furniture store… The furniture store (Nest Modern) is a really cool little place to browse for a while!
11. Greetings From Austin

I’m curious how many of y’all are born and raised in ATX? 🌵Comment with the number of years or months you’ve lived here! I was born in Dallas and moved here for school… hook ‘em! 🤘🏼 Austin now feels more like home than Dallas, but my husband says my “inner Dallas” still comes out sometimes… #designerhandbags #lotsofhairspray #gotalittledallasinme
Ok, it’s not technically on SoCo, but it’s on South First Street which is just a few blocks away! The “Greetings From Austin” is one of theeeee most popular murals in town! On a pretty Saturday afternoon, there will be a line for this one, so try to swing by on a weekday if you want to take photos without a line.
Address: 1720 S 1st St
Where to eat by this mural: La Patisserie is an adorable French bakery right next to this mural, and they offer some of the best macarons in the city.
